Edward (Ted) Geddis, D.C.- Head Coach
Will McElgunn, Assistant Coach
Hi all,
I’m coach Will, and I bring plenty of experience at the elite level of triathlon. I’ve been racing as a professional since 2025 and bring a wealth of knowledge in short course and 70.3 racing.
I came from a swimming and running background, so the transition to triathlon (pun intended) was a natural one. I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2021 with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and I currently balance professional racing with full-time work and graduate school. That means I understand what it's like to fit serious training into an already full life. Whether you're juggling work, school, family, or all three, I can help you build the structure to stay consistent without burning out.
My engineering background shapes how I coach: I take a data-driven approach to training, using numbers to guide decisions rather than guesswork. Paired with my experience racing at the top level of the sport, we can know precisely when to push, and when to pull back in service of your long-term goals.
The main thing I prioritize in coaching is consistency and long term sustainability. Volume and intensity, while important for improving, are not effective unless the athlete is able to do the training consistently for weeks/months/years. Balancing life and training stress is a huge part of staying consistent and injury-free, and the main goal is to keep you happy and healthy for years to come.
Hello! I'm Coach Ted, and my journey in the world of coaching is fueled by a deep passion for sports and wellness. I started my career with a B.Sc. in Neuro and Muscle Physiology from the University of Guelph, and later earned a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Northwestern University of Health Sciences. But that's just the beginning!
For over 25 years, I've been at the forefront of fostering teamwork among chiropractors, orthopedic surgeons, and physical therapists. It's been an exciting journey of collaboration and learning.
As a coach, I'm proud to hold several certifications: I'm a USA Triathlon Elite Level III Coach for short course, long course, and youth and juniors . I'm also a Level 3 USA Cycling and Ironman University Coach. My expertise extends to Training Peaks Level 2, Cycling Power, and Stryd Running, with a special knack for Bike Fit and Swim/Bike/Run Video Analysis.
I believe in the power of data to transform training. Using tools like TrainingPeaks and WK05, I tailor my approach to each athlete's unique needs, whether they're just starting out or are seasoned competitors. My goal? To help you reach your peak performance while keeping you healthy and injury-free.
Coaching, for me, is more than just crafting workouts. It's about setting achievable goals, creating a plan to reach them, and ensuring your health and well-being are always a priority.
At Catalyst Endurance Coaching, we blend my unique perspective, medical background, and coaching expertise to help you surpass your goals. Whether you're looking for year-long coaching, race-specific guidance, or distance-specific training, we're here to support you, both locally and virtually.
Let's embark on this journey together and unlock your true potential!

I earned my Registered Dietitian credentials in 2012 and hold both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Nutrition, but my passion for sports nutrition started long before that — through my own experiences as an endurance athlete.
Since jumping into my very first triathlon in 2007 (completely unprepared 😊), endurance sports have become a huge part of my life. Along the way, I experienced many of the fueling and hydration mistakes that so many athletes struggle with, which ultimately sparked my passion for helping others avoid the same pitfalls.
For many years, I was deeply involved in the Arizona endurance sports community before relocating to Montana in 2022, where I continue to work closely with endurance athletes to create simple, effective fueling strategies that support both performance and long-term success. I also offer Precision Hydration sweat testing to help athletes better understand their individual hydration needs.
Over the years, I’ve completed 4 full Ironman races (including the legendary Norseman Xtreme Triathlon), multiple 70.3 races, the 2024 Boston Marathon, and lately I’ve become slightly obsessed with ultra running.
When I’m not working with athletes or chasing big endurance goals of my own, I’m busy keeping up with my three active and competitive kids — who somehow manage to keep me moving even more than training does.

I am a psychotherapist and performance psychology consultant specialising in sports & performing arts. I have more than a decade of experience supporting people, teams and organisations to understand more about the psychological, emotional and relational barriers that are causing them distress, holding them back, and preventing them from fulfilling their potential.
I am currently supporting professional and amateur athletes, including: Bianchi Pro Triathlon Team, Ironman World Championships Top 5 finishers, Ironman and Ironman 70.3 champions, elite and amateur runners including age group World & European record holders, and tennis players. I also support professional musicians and conductors. I trained as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist at the Tavistock and Portman Clinic in London, UK, and continue to work there as a Senior Psychotherapist and Supervisor.
My passion for movement and sport has been there for as long as I can remember. As a child I played multiple team sports and in my adult life I found endurance sports, particularly triathlon, cycling, and running. I represented Great Britain at the Ironman World Championships 2024 in Kona, Hawaii where I finished in 9 hours 11 minutes and was 9th fastest Brit. I have also represented GBR at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships, and multiple World and European Sprint and Olympic distance triathlon championships, and achieved multiple national age group podiums. I have also completed multiple marathons and ultra-marathons. After hiking the route in 2023, I would love to qualify for and complete Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB).
Through my experiences as a clinician, consultant and athlete I have developed a deep knowledge of the connection between the mind and body. I understand the profound impact of emotional and psychological experience on physiology, how this impacts performance, and how to help when it does.
